Common questions

What Saudi HR and finance teams ask about Odoo payroll.

Short answers. The first call covers your company in detail.

Does Odoo have Saudi payroll?

Yes. Saudi Arabia is one of the payroll localizations Odoo lists for version 18. It calculates GOSI and end-of-service benefits, generates the WPS salary file and adds a monthly master payroll report. Our job is to set it up for your contracts and test it before your first live month.

Does Odoo calculate GOSI?

Yes. Odoo’s Saudi payroll calculates GOSI contributions, and Odoo 18 updated those calculations. We set them up for your Saudi and non-Saudi employees, and before go-live we check the result for every type of employee you have against your GOSI records.

How does Odoo handle end-of-service benefits?

Odoo calculates end-of-service benefits under its Saudi payroll rules, and Odoo 18 improved those calculations. We set up a monthly end-of-service provision in your accounts, and test the calculation against settlements you have already paid, so you can compare the figures.

Can we pay salaries through WPS?

Odoo generates the SIF file for the Wage Protection System as part of the payroll process. We set it up with your bank details and test the file with you before the first live month.

Does it work with Mudad?

Yes. We connect your Odoo payroll to Mudad, so your wage protection submissions come from the payroll you run in Odoo. We test it with you in the test month.

Can payslips be in Arabic?

Yes. Payslips can be in Arabic, English or both on one page, and Odoo emails each employee their payslip.

Which Odoo edition do we need?

Payroll is an Odoo Enterprise app; the Community edition does not include it. If you already run Odoo Enterprise for accounting or sales, payroll joins the same database.

How long does it take?

It depends on your headcount, the number of entities and how many allowance types you pay. After the first call you get a dated plan that names the month you first pay from Odoo.
